mike28486 Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 Hello, I am having an issue with Flirc/Plex with using an on-screen keyboard. When I try to pull up, say Apple Trailers" in the Video Channels selection and go to search it comes up with an on-screen keyboard when this is displayed none of the arrow keys work and neither does the enter button. The only keys that work are the number keys and the back key (to get off of the on-screen keyboard). Everything else in Plex/Flirc is working great and always has been, this has been my last hurdle. Does anyone have any suggestions? Remote - Harmony One Flirc Programming - Full Keyboard 2 Quote
Chris! Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 In plex/xbmc: Settings --> input devices --> "remote control sends keyboard presses" Does this solve your issue? Quote
mike28486 Posted May 12, 2013 Author Report Posted May 12, 2013 Hey Chris, Under input devices I have "Enable Mouse" Don;t have a "remote control sends keyboard presses" Using Plex on Windows 7 if that helps. Quote
Chris! Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 Ah damn! I assumed Plex has the same stuff as XBMC (usually does share this kind of thing). Some more google-ing; turns out it is there but you're going to have to go into the xml setting: http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/22022-using-arrow-keys-with-virtual-keyboard/#entry221144 Does it work? 1 Quote
mike28486 Posted May 12, 2013 Author Report Posted May 12, 2013 Chris....I owe you a beer! Thank you sir, that worked perfect! Quote
Chris! Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 Yay! Free beer! ;) Don't worry, glad it solved it! Quote
Budwyzer Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 Sweetness! I've actually had this problem as well but having a mini keyboard as a back up I always just forgot about it as soon as I was done typing in something to search! Thanks Chris!! Quote
Chris! Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 I agree with the people in the thread I link to though. It's weird that it is in Plex but they just hid it - maybe they thought it would cause confusion? Very strange Quote
