I just got the Fire TV Edition of Flirc. On each launch of Flirc 3.27.5 GUI for Windows, it says there's an update available which I do attempt and it says Firmware Successfully Updated. However, it remains on 4.9.6. I tried this on two different Windows PCs. I also noticed it displays the Flirc as Disconnected during this process. If I try Load Embedded Firmware from the Advanced Settings to try and force the update, it's the same result except the GUI shows Connected during it.

Here is the output from Device Log:

You can ignore those. Firetv doesn’t have remote buddy support.

Yeah I have this too, BNIB from amazon yesterday and wont update

Also it wont work with FireStick 4k (like it says on the box) as default, I did find it worked if I setup a keyboard mapping.... but not found the "home" key

First though, I guess it needs upgrade
