So has anyone found a way to use the home key? I'm on 3.8, and still when I press my mapped home key get recent apps rather than going home. I have tried mapping using the keyboard combination too, same happens.
Apologies if I've missed another topic resolving this...
EDIT; Please ignore, double-tapping home button works!
You can try erasing it and reprograming again as well.

can you provide the output of lsusb?

Ah, great point, let me have my artist do a rendition of the controller.
Those links really help, but I'll need a bit more.Using the two images at the top of the post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/shield-tv/help/please-post-favorite-controller-maps-t3402715
I'll need to figure out which buttons go with their corresponding keyboard keys. (Don't worry about the joystick for now).
For example:
keyboard hat up: Keyboard arrow up
Keyboard hat down: Keyboard arrow down
etc. The easiest way to do this is hook a keyboard up to the shield and figure it out with that. I'll reach out to my friend on the shield team to see if he can just give me the hid codes.

sorry, does the old firmware work? If you have to press each button twice, just record them twice. Record up, then record it again.

If you have a harmony 950, use:
Manufacturer: Flirc
Device: Kodi
-
I think someone figured this out in another thread. If you go to settings on your firetv, make sure usb debugging is off. This will disable your usb port.
-
Attached the firmware for you. Can you let me know what was wrong with the previous version. I'll update the current version so that whatever was working in this, works in the latest. There are issues with this release.
-
What are you looking for?
-
Yes, shouldn't be a problem.
-
Can you send me a message at support@flirc.tv?
I'm behind on phone calls. You're right, it was returned to me, but don't worry, I'll get another out. -
-
Thanks for the update, and letting us know.

In the process of fixing builds and releases. Any chance the static compile works for you?
-
If you plug flirc in the computer and use your harmony, does it work in the pc?
-
It's tied directly to he supply. I will make it configurable in the next version.
Im sorry for the inconvenience. You can stick some electrical tape over it. That's the least districtive thing you can do. Will be save. Just don't cover the IR sensor.
-
what's the device you added for the harmony? You need to add, manufacturer: flirc, and then device: firetv
-
Go to file->advanced. Force firmware upgrade. Make sure your firmware reads 3.8
-
best way to do it is by keyboard key combination. So CTRL+F2 or whatever, and then link that with flirc. No way to power it on though.
Have you tried pairing the 'suspend' key in keyboard controller view and just suspending the pi?
-
I forgot about this thread before buying the Flirc. I guess development in general has been pretty much abandoned since we never saw an official profile for Shield? I'll see what I can do with what has been posted, though
Definitely not. I work at NVIDIA full time. I work on the super computing products though. My buddies in shield gave me a unit to get Flirc support on it but I haven't had time to polish it off.
But that's all going to change. Next Friday is my last day at NVIDIA. I will be working on Flirc full time. Expect a lot more activity soon. This will be one of the main things I do, better Logitech integration and many more profiles.
Also traveling to china to watch over the build of the next product.
Excited and Terrified.

So you are adding a flirc - firetv device to your harmony, is that correct?
In my software, under advanced, make sure 'built in profiles' is enabled. -
It shouldn't require line of site.
Is your IR blaster in range of flirc? Or are you using your harmony for flirc? -
can you post a picture of your remote? I'll debug this.
-
You need to upgrade to 3.8, and then re-record the home button. Let me know if that works.
Can't get Logitech Harmony to both sleep AND wake HTPC

Try the media center controller in my GUI, and record the 'sleep/suspend' button. This should also work to wake the pc.
