Great, thanks Jason. I really appreciate your willingness to troubleshoot and go the extra mile. I hope others recognize the effort you're going to to make Flirc a success.
I figured it out. Very strange, I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how to fix this in the long run. Send me your configuration, I'll alter it so it works as it should.

he guy I hired dropped off the map, I'm very upset with him. His progress was great, I just need him to give me his work.... I'm really sorry, I've been trying to get a hold of him for a while so I don't have to replicate everything he's done.

Hey got the remote, I'll be looking into this, I'll have an update or fix by this week. Thanks for the patience.
-
Great, glad it's up and running. Sorry for the delay, in the release. Hopefully should be able to get it out this week. I showed it to my partner who's a patent attorney and he's convinced there are a few unique things that potentially could be patentable, so we're going to fire a provisional before the public release. Want to be transparent, but it's done.

I'm trying to write a Control4 driver to work with FLIRC out of the box. I understand there are codes baked into the firmware that tie to Harmony profiles, and I'd like to leverage that functionality on Control4 as well. Are the pronto/hex versions (or the Protocol/Device/Subdevice/Function values) available for reference? I know I can load the Harmony profile on a Harmony remote, then walk through every key and learn that the codes in Control4... but I prefer to use the exact codes from source if they're available.
Thanks!
I'm going to make this public soon.

Hi I have the old clear flirc on version 2.4. I have to say that many of the buttons on the media center controller are wrong.
here is the list of wrong buttons.
record, FF, rewind, go back, red, green, blue, yellow, show shortcut, fullscreen, go to guide, goto recorded tv.
I have a genuine MCE remote so I know if these buttons were generating the correct code they would work.
Grab the latest GUI, I've updated it. You'll need to re-record these keys. Can you check again, I believe I fixed most of these. Again, you'll need to re-record the keys.

I'm not going to be able to release this, I have a lot of other code part of this current branch and it's not vetted. So I'm attaching some custom firmware off the latest release which has built in profiles disabled.
Two sku's attached. To figure out which sku you have make sure you have the latest GUI, go to advanced, it should be listed in the advanced window. -

Right, I understand what you're saying. However, if both the Flirc and the TV receive it, it still shouldn't cause dual clicks on the FireTV *unless CEC is enabled*. The only way the FireTV should respond to clicks is via CEC or the Flirc.
As to your second question, yes....if I disable CEC, and I still see dual key presses. If I then remove Flirc, all control of the FireTV is gone... So, in this case, I can verify that CEC is indeed disabled.
@jason, before I return my Flirc (I don't want to!) do you have any ideas?
came here to check to see if you followed up, I see you put your remote above. I'll get one and check it out.

Can you post your configuration? Can you link me to your remote as well? I'll figure it out.

Built in profiles are enabled by default. Please don't worry @CutterKin I'm almost there: http://cl.flirc.io/lFkm
I have a few more things I need to do with this. It'll be done this week.

I already started working on this. I need a few days. It'll be updated soon. I understand the value. The first one had the same limitation. Know how I'm going to do it and it'll be implemented shortly.

wait, how is the built in firetv profile conflicting with the MCE profile?

I just bought my Flirc, downloaded the software, and programmed my Flirc to match the keys of my Amazon Fire TV remote with my IR Directv remote. The software has accepted all of the commands. I then plug the Flirc into the Amazon Fire TV USB slot, however the Fire TV does not respond to any of the buttons pushed on my Directv remote. Am I suppose to pair the Flirc with the Amazon TV some how or is this supposed to happen automatically? Thank you for the help.
Make sure ADB debug is off in your firetv settings.

I have two repo's, one for 32 bit, and one for 64. I'll post a statically compiled binary soon. But I recommend the installer. You can ignore the last upgrade attempt, erroneous.
If you don't install it via apt-get, you wont get the udev rule, which will require you to use sudo. -
Did you install via apt-get and try running as sudo

So I decided it was time to upgrade to Windows 10 anyway...so I did. I get the same result on Windows 10 (except that once I installed the software, when I plugged in the Flirc it was recognized and drivers loaded right away)...works fine in the flirc GUI but does not send any keyboard commands to the OS.
Jason, I am unclear on what you mean by that last post? I have wireless Logitech Wave keyboard and mouse that are connected with a USB transmitter.
Yawor...I tried different ports, same result.
Let me know your thoughts please.
Thanks.
PM Me, I'll send you the new one. Not worth any one's trouble banging our heads against the wall.

that's correct. Just wanted to make sure. It's possible interface 0 has the driver, which is the keyboard. That would cause this. You'll have to remove it the driver on that one. Let me know if that's helpful.

Do you have the stainless steel version, or the plastic version?

Hurray, it's working for me too. Thanks!!!
I've als updated the windows media center controller so it should be fully accurate for you guys to use: http://cl.flirc.io/kpNo

Thank you guys so much for being supportive and awesome. Really does mean a lot.
-
Thanks so much for the patience, means a lot. Pushed publicly as well.
-
Once again, thanks for the awesome feedaback. Sat down today and figured out all the issues.
- Bug that caused all other keys to stop working without modifiers.
- ctrl+f and ctrl+b - windows is so picky. I need to insert control, then 'f'. Then I need to release the 'f' then the control. All this is being done now.
This is probably the last one you'll test and the one that will be pushed publicly.
(Understood you are using nemo, they are identical, but for those who don't have the nemo sku, the dori is posted here too)
-
Okay, I've figured out the issue. Here is an update. I think I'm going to always sequence the modifiers by default. Don't see why not as I'm emulating a keyboard and no one can push them all at the same time.
Let me know if there are any issues.
For the love of God can we just get a deb download!

I'm sorry, although fairly easy, this is probably a good 2-3 days of effort. I'll get to this soon. I'm working on a major release. sorry for the trouble.
