knilch Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 On a remote there usually is exactly one button for power in/off. When I configure this button as WAKE key in combination with suspend_detect the remote can wake my PC from S3. However it seems that it's not possible to send the PC to sleep with the same button, as it does not send any detectable key when configured as WAKE. I think it would be useful to allow a specific button to be configured twice to send a normal keystroke AND a wake event. Regards knilch 1 Quote
knilch Posted July 16, 2013 Author Report Posted July 16, 2013 Nice to hear! By the way - I already own two FLIRCs, amazing concept and work :-) Quote
internetdirk Posted September 5, 2014 Report Posted September 5, 2014 Are there any updates? I think this were a very helpful feature. Quote
jason Posted September 5, 2014 Report Posted September 5, 2014 it's implemened. Grab the latest firmware, head to media keys, and then pair the suspend key. It suspends and wakes the machine. Quote
internetdirk Posted September 5, 2014 Report Posted September 5, 2014 Cool. Then i will upgrade and check it out at the weekend. Thank you! Quote
heatvent Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 Hi Is wake/suspend only on the media keys GUI? There is also a wake key in the keyboard controller GUI. Does this one work in the same way. I am trying to figure out if I can send wake and sleep separately in a non-toggle fashion. Quote
Guest Posted January 24, 2015 Report Posted January 24, 2015 The same here, I can't use the media key to wake the PC Quote
Chris! Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 You can program from different controllers and Flirc with remember the key that has been programmed. The only way Flirc would forget a key would be if you deleted a key using the erase function, cleared the configuration or (rarely) a firmware upgrade may wipe a device (though we endeavour to warn users about this) Quote
heatvent Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 Hi, not really worried if it is forgetting, I am trying to figure out if they function the same way and if there is a way to send a wake only command with a remote and a sleep only command (i.e. not a toggle between the two). Quote
