MacAED
Hey guys! I can see that the FLIRC is mac compatible. So far so good. But is it also possible to use the FLIRC as a irDa port for data transfers? I need to extract data from an AED and it has only got an irDa port. I really appreciate your help, thanks! yawor
Hi, No, it can't work as an IRDA. You need a proper serial IRDA interface for that.
MacAED
Thank you yawor! Do you have any idea where to get such a device?
yawor
Sorry, I've never used one. Just search for some IrDA USB dongle/adapter. Just make sure it's for data connection, not something for remote control which was improperly named IrDA, as that's totally different hardware.
