Killbill Posted December 31, 2016 Report Posted December 31, 2016 Hey guys. Just got myself flirc SE. Where have you been all my adult life! got it all wired up to my motherboard and working. Did a straight forward setup with my new Harmony 950 remote. Put the HTPC in complete power off and when I hit the power button it wakes the pc up. Great! Problem I have, if I point any remote in that direction and hit the power button on the remote it will now turn the PC on. Example. Press the power button on my samsung TV remote to turn TV on also turns on PC. Can we setup Flirc SE to only recognise power on button from a harmony remote? HNY btw. Quote
Killbill Posted January 1, 2017 Author Report Posted January 1, 2017 Fixed this by going intoflirc software and clearing all data. Btw using flirc_util.exe record powerin command line does not wake the pc from a compelte power off? Quote
brunoland Posted January 28, 2017 Report Posted January 28, 2017 With which button you can power it?I can not power it in windows....I can make it sleep&wake only in from media keys settings. Quote

brunoland Posted February 2, 2017 Report Posted February 2, 2017 I can wake up with Windows media control on Windwos. But can't power it. Quote
yawor Posted February 2, 2017 Report Posted February 2, 2017 @brunoland when you shut down your PC, is the LED on Flirc SE still lit? For Flirc SE to be able to power up the PC, it needs to be powered. Some motherboards don't provide power to USB ports when shut down. Quote
brunoland Posted February 5, 2017 Report Posted February 5, 2017 Yes, the blue led is on.In gui when I'm trying to record with remote control off button it lights number 9 for strange reason. But when I try nine it's nine. Quote
yawor Posted February 6, 2017 Report Posted February 6, 2017 What remote control are you using? Quote
yawor Posted February 11, 2017 Report Posted February 11, 2017 I can't find any detailed information about this remote. Do you know for which TV model is this remote? Quote
brunoland Posted February 12, 2017 Report Posted February 12, 2017 Today I've tested diffrent remote with same results. So it most probably is not remote problem, but Flirc with Windows itself.Tested:BOXEE --> Power remote detects it correctly but clearly it has no function as I have Windows 10 HTPC.KODI --> Shutdown it does not detect.MEDIA KEYS --> Wake/Suspend it works as wake/suspend and this is my partial solution to power on/off function.XBOX --> Power_Xbox it detects as number 9. Power_TV it detects as number 9. Quote
yawor Posted February 13, 2017 Report Posted February 13, 2017 Ah so it's not a problem with remote. Now I understand what's your problem. To configure Flirc SE power button feature you need to use command line utility flirc_util.exe. The command has been posted in this thread already:flirc_util.exe record powerAfter pressing enter, the command will wait for you to press a button. Quote
brunoland Posted February 13, 2017 Report Posted February 13, 2017 It works now. Thank you. Do not know how I missed that at the start of a thread. Oh well.... Quote
