stoof Posted March 5, 2016 Report Posted March 5, 2016 I just ordered an iTach IR device so I can use Unified Remote android app to control my various devices. I have a Vizio soundbar, optoma projector, HDMI switch, etc. The soundbar in particular seems to have a pretty complex set of commands, so in the event that I can't find the specific codes for my device I'd like to be able to record them myself. Is it possible to use the Flirc to record these codes in a hex format? For reference, this is what I would have to do Thanks Quote
Mibix Posted March 11, 2016 Report Posted March 11, 2016 I would also love this feature, I cant seem to get all my devices on one remote without it Quote
yawor Posted March 17, 2016 Report Posted March 17, 2016 No, it's not possible. Flirc doesn't record or even decode the original signal. It builds a hash value from it and this is what is being stored in the Flirc's EEPROM memory. The hash function is not reversible so you can't retrieve original signal data. Quote
