Wake up doesn't work

I'm using Flirc on a Windows 10 together with a Harmony 650.

I've made all the necessary settings, I have learned a key for 'Wake' and in the settings I've put Sleep Detection.

But will all this, I can not wake up my PC at all.

 

Can somebody help me.. :)

Yes, I can do that; it's even a wireless one.

OK then, go to Device Manager, open Keyboards key in the device tree. When you open a device properties there should be power (or power management) tab. Check if all devices are allowed to wake the system. You can check which one is Flirc by unplugging it and checking which one disappeared.

Yes for the 'HID Keyboard Device' I do have the "Allow this device to wake the computer" checked.

I have only one 'HID Keyboard Device'.

That's strange. You should have at least two: one for Flirc and one for a normal keyboard. Unless you've unplugged the keyboard before checking.

I don't have Win 10 any more, so I can't test this myself. But I haven't heard that there's a problem with wake up in Win 10 neither.

Are you sure that the remote is sending the IR signal on button press? Which firmware version do you have on your Flirc? In newer versions you can delete wake key and then Flirc should wake the PC on any recorded key press - you can try that.

I don't know if it is a problem that after I learn a button for the Wake function, when I press it again the 'Wake' symbol on the Full Keyboard doesn't flash. The same button was paired with a different symbol and I did saw the feedback on the Flirc GUI.

Can you please tell me what is the firmware version in your Flirc?

The firmware is 3.6 and Flirc gui 1.3.6

Make sure you've:

1. Enabled Wake by USB in you BIOS settings.
2. Ran Flirc.exe on the box you're using Flirc to install the USB drivers.

Now you should be able to use\assign the "Wake" key in the Flirc software's "Full Keyboard" to wake your PC.
