Have i got a defect Flirc USB?

Featured Replies

Hi,
yesterday i've got my new Flirc USB and i was excited about it's possibilities/functionality.
I want to use it on a Raspberry 4 with Kodi.
First i plugged it into a Windows PC, installed the software, made a firmware update to v4.10.5 and programmed my remote.
Everything looked good, but after about 10 minutes the remote stopped working. First i thought it's a Kodi problem, but after pluging it back into the Windows PC i realized, that the complete programming has been gone/deleted.
So i've done programming a second time and tried to save the config...but this was not possible cause at the dialog to enter the file name, field was permanently filled with strange keyboard input. I've pluged off the keyboard and brought the remote out of distance...but still the same. So its clear to me, that this comes from the Flirc.
Nevertheless, the remote/flirc worked again on the RPI4 - but again it lost the configuration after a few minutes.

So, am i doing something wrong, is this a bug, or is the stick eventually defect (storage chip)?

best regards
