Opening Mac Application fails when Flirc is at the background

Hi,

 

I assigned two keyboard shortcuts and automator actions to start Tunes and Plex and mapped them on a remote controller.

 

This works when Flirc is open at the foreground and it starts the software,

but doesn't when Flirc is closed.

 

Is this perhaps known to anyone?

 

btw. I also mapped command + Q, to quit an application, and this works when Flirc isn't open.

 

So what is happening to the two shortcuts whom act accordingly when Flirc is open, but fail when Flirc is closed?

You shouldn't need the Flirc app open to use flirc (only to program Flirc).

 

 

This works when Flirc is open at the foreground and it starts the software,

but doesn't when Flirc is closed.

This might be because the short-key mapped in mac isn't a global one (i.e. it only works when the window is in focus)

 

What short-key combination are you using and this combination runs an automator action?
