Hi there! I purchased a Flirc USB 2nd genI have a desktop PC and a HTPC that I intend to use the Flirc on, both are running Windows 10. For this convo, I'll only bring up the desktop PC, but it is has an ASRock FM2A75M Pro4+ mother board. How do I go about syncing my logitech Harmony 650 to this device and using the Flirc/Harmony 650 to power on my PC (not from sleep, that is)? I believe that the BIOS options for power to the USBs is currently on, is there a way to verify that? I also activated the 'powering on by USB keyboard/mouse' in BIOS, but that still didn't help. Is there a proper model number for the Flirc? I have tried the help here: https://support.flirc.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200712568-Logitech-Harmony-Remotes, but it doesn't seem to work... Can I get some help? Is there a simple walk-through for this? I've tried all of the Flirc commonly available FAQs and topics, but they don't seem to work. Thanks ahead of time!

Hi all, I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out whats going on so figured id sign up and ask! Been a Flirc user for over 2 years and legit 2 days ago it simply stopped controlling my Kodi setup (Windows 10 PC) using Logitech Harmony. I can see its still active in Device Manager and tried uninstalling software/driver + reinstall. Tried removing the Device from Logitech Harmony and re-adding. Changed USB ports .... almost everything under the sun I can think of but my remote simply cant control my PC (kodi) any more. I have tried re-mapping the buttons with the Flirc windows software but it just wont read the input strokes from the remote. Unsure where the issue lies, whether its Windows, Flirc, Logitech, Kodi but I have basically tried to address each one to no avail. Does anyone have any idea what else I can try? Happy to send logs or whatever else required. Thanks heaps in advance for any insight!

Hi folks, I recently swapped out my windows based HTPC for a Shield TV. I've got it up and running no sweat and have an activity tied to my Harmony Ultimate. No problems there. However, I'm interested in understanding if my flirc is even useful at this point. Does anyone out there have any good examples of how to use flirc with a shield tv? I would love to toggle subtitles, change audio feeds, and play directly from the plex dashboard (as opposed to having to go into a film or tv episode's detail page) but I don't think that's possible. Am I wrong? If i am - and this stuff can be done - is there a guide out there? Regardless, to reiterate my earlier statement - any of you kind folks using FLIRC w. Shield TV and if so why?

I use Flirc to control Kodi using a Logitech Harmony remote. I have read the articles on the Harmony remotes but I still need some help adding extra functions to the My Harmony profile. I understand how to add the extra functions but I do not want to just choose a button on another remote to generate codes, it might duplicate one of the existing codes and do something on another device. I have WinLirc up and running with an IR receiver/transmitter so I'd like to define the protocol/codes in the config file and use WinLirc to teach them to the My Harmony. Is there a list of codes and protocol (or better still the LIRC config file) that Flirc uses in the Logitech profiles so I can generate new codes that are consistent with what is used already?

Want to set up Nvidia Shield running Kodi with a Harmony 900. I set this up with the Harmony software. Checking the 'customize buttons' option after I see presets for the Shield as well as my receiver for volume. Don't see a single thing for the Flirc even though it says here https://flirc.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/200712568-Logitech-Harmony-Remotes that "You should be good to go - you don't need to program buttons using the Flirc gui, we've done that for you." Even after setting commands in the customize buttons on the Harmony software and I plug the Flirc in my Shield it does nothing. Nothing is programmed. If I run the Flirc software and try to manually program buttons pressing a button on my Harmony does nothing. I tried other 'IR' remotes and it worked. Is this because the Harmony is an RF remote? If so how am I supposed to program it? Why wasn't it programmed automatically? All software for Harmony and Flirc is up to date? Can someone help me out with a step by step? This should have been an effortless install but I've already wasted at least an hour. Thanks.

Hi everyone, First off, best wishes for 2016! I recently purchased a Streacom case and a Flirc SE addon card, to use with my Logitech Harmony Ultimate. In the Harmony software I set up a Flirc device with Kodi as the model. At first, the PC wouldn't start, but then I found that the command Logitech had added automatically ("Shutdown PC") was actually the proper command to turn on the PC. I switched the power settings in the Harmony software and now the remote can start the PC. However, I've been unable to use the remote to shutdown the PC, the computer is simply not responding. It is running Windows 7 and the "what happens when I press the power button" is set to the default "shutdown". I tried recording the power button using the commandline and flirc_util, but this breaks something, the PC will no longer start up. Any ideas? A second issue I'm having is that the power button on the remote now starts two PCs. Is there a way to differentiate between the two computers? The second computer has an IMON display/IR receiver. Any help is appreciated.

I have Flirc set up with my Logitech Harmony 600 and use a "Full Keyboard" profile. If I try the buttons and keys in Notepad everything is OK. I have tried with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. But as soon as I try to Pause or move around in Kodi/XBMC, the buttons don't work like they should. For example, I have to press really hard and sometimes it doesn't even react to anything. I don't know if the problem is Flirc or Kodi... I have tried with latest Kodi Isengard 15.1 and also with Helix 14.2... What could be causing this? Please help...

I have Logitech harmony smart hub (With smart control), Flirc (Latest firmware 3.3), Minix X8-H (Latest fimware 002A). Using the XBMC profile I succeed to map Play, Pause, Stop and info. However, Rewind and FastForward not working. These commands are not present on the original remote anyway but Minix have added these IR codes at the latest firmware. Can someone please explain if there is a way to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Hi everybody Have discovered the Flirc and looking forward to getting it working with my XBMC and Logitech Harmony 1000 remote. So far I installed the latest software from the Flirc website (v1.2.2) and also added the Media Center PC > Flirc profile on my Harmony remote. I have noticed that the buttons on the Harmony do not seem to activate the controls on my XBMC screen, so proceeded to map some buttons manually from the Flirc software to button presses on my Harmony remote – after a while I noticed that not all buttons were able to be mapped as the XBMC grid within the Flirc software (File, Controllers,XBMC) did not have a button for Context Menu, Toggle Fullscreen, Fullscreeen etc.. Having a look around this forum I noticed that I may need to install some Beta software to get the XBMC fully working (i.e. not have to manually assign buttons/key presses etc) Also, do I need to install any Flirc addons from the XBMC Add on Repo? It has been a few months since some of those posts were updated so wanted to check in to ensure I was doing the right steps to get this Flirc/XBMC/Harmony combo working well. Appreciate if people could point me in the right direction to get everything started. Thanks in advance, oofti

Hi How to best put the pieces together? I understad that its best to choose the "Flirc XBMC" device in the myHarmony (It may eventually come a "flirc PLEX" device but until then I suppose that XBMC is the way to go). I have a problem with the "back" button, it lets me go backwards in the meny but I cant get back to the menu when I started a film... Is there i a guide or some tips and trix anyone can offer me? I use PLEX for the desktop but I love to move to the win8 app becouse its a better UI, however it seams that the app its not with out its fair share of problems so I stick to the desktop for now... Thanks

I'm using v2.2 of the GUI and I'm trying to get my new Logitech Harmony to work with Flirc + XBMC. I was happy to see that there is a profile for this in the Logitech Harmony database, but when I tried the remote with XBMC launched it didn't seem to work. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

Hello, I have a Logitech K700 keyboard (from my Logitech Revue Google TV) that I am going to be using as my keyboard/mouse for my new HTPC. There is a thread on the Autohotkey forums here that uses custom scripts with Autohotkey to add functionality to the K700 keyboard. Before I install the software and attempt this custom script, I'm wondering if anyone knows if using Autohotkey on the "real" keyboard will impact my Flirc unit at all? I don't want any conflicts to mess with it. I may interested in using Autohotkey for the Flirc at some point in the future as I work on switching between WMC and either XBMC and MB3, so I want to see if anyone has any experience with this. Thanks!

I'm curious to know if anybody running XBMCbuntu (or any other Linux setup) has successfully programmed a Logitech Harmony remote for full functionality. I installed the Flirc GUI within XBMCbuntu, which seemed to record the basic functionality. I had to use the terminal command line to record advanced keystrokes. Within XBMC, however, I get almost no real functionality. Only the directional buttons "work," and that is occasional and usually scrolls in whatever direction it chooses, regardless of the actual input. I think the problem may be in the device or activity setup within the Logitech Harmony software. Obviously, neither XBMC nor Flirc have profiles within the software, but some users running Linux XBMC builds have reported success in the past. Unfortunately, I've never been able to replicate. The device profiles I've tried include DVD Player, MCE Keyboard and a Panasonic/Samsung TV as suggested by a user in another thread. No joy, but it could be that I'm setting up the activity improperly or customizing the buttons differently... haven't found any advice on those fronts. Any suggestions on what device profile should be used, how the activity should be setup, or how the buttons should be customized? Really looking for help here, I'm on my last nerve finding a working solution. Thanks in advance.
