  1. I just bought the new Google TV Streamer 4K to replace my NVIDIA Shield TV Pro. I've been using Flirc with my Shield with no problems, and had assumed it'd be a simple swap to the Google box. It wasn't quite as simple as I thought. The problem is that the Google box only has 1 USB-C port on the back, for power. There's nowhere to plug in an additional USB device. I hoped that I could solve the issue with a USB splitter, so I hit Amazon and found an adapter cable that looked promising: "USB C to USB Adapter with Type C Charging, 2 in 1 Type C 3.0 OTG Splitter with 60W PD Fast Charge Compatible with iPhone 15 Pro Max, Galaxy S23 S22 S21,Switch,LG V40 V30 G8, Pixel4 XL,Google TV 2020" https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B098SVSDYW I can confirm this works! Once I got everything hooked up, my remote (already set up for Shield) "just works" with the Google box, as expected. BTW, so far I find the Google TV Streamer 4K to be a nice upgrade from the Shield. The interface seems a little smoother, it runs a newer version of Android, and it also doubles as a Matter-enabled smart home hub.
  2. I completely agree with the OP. Frankly, I picked up the Skip remote precisely because I was looking for a successor to Harmony. I've been using Harmony since before Logitech purchased them, and was sad to hear Logi was discontinuing them. I even have an old one I'm keeping around in reserve in case one of mine breaks. Therefore, I was happy when it looked like someone was picking up where Harmony left off. I was in the middle of setting up my remote, had a question and came here to look for an answer, but was REALLY dismayed to see that the activity switching behavior is not on par with Harmony. So, sorry, Skip is going back in the box before I even finish setting it up. I won't like using it, and DEFINITELY my family will not like using it. I'll continue to monitor updates on the remote, and hope to see that it will soon get to a state where it can effectively replace my aging Harmony. --- Edit: I felt like I needed to come back and add a few thoughts. First, sorry for sounding so harsh. Second, we really do need a proper successor to Harmony. I hate to keep bringing that brand up, but in my mind, they're the gold standard (even defunct as they are). I am REALLY ROOTING for this remote to succeed. The hardware is beautiful. I like where the setup wizard is headed. I like the lighting functions and layout. I hope the devs are listening :-)
