Does Flirc work with Plasma TVs?

I've got a Flirc receiver but am having issues using it to drive things near my TV.  The TV is a 50" Plasma.  I'm sure it's throwing up interference, but I'm wondering if there's anything that can be done to make things work.

All the other devices that receive IR are able to ignore the noise the Plasma TV generates.  Is there some way of making Flirc ignore it to?

    Chrome (Android)
    1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
    2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
    3. Adjust your preference.
    Chrome (Desktop)
    1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
    2. Select Site settings.
    3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
