Using Flirc connected to raspberry to create a remote control

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am trying to make a remote control to power off TV for example using flirc  connected to raspberry pi to send IR signals.

I used the lirc configuration files availble on the net but it does not work.  Is it possible to do that?  does anyone know how to configure the hardware.conf to be able to send signal through flirc.

Thanks in advance
Hicham

Hi,

Flirc is an IR receiver that acts as a keyboard in the system. It can't send IR signals. Also you don't need lirc for Flirc to work as a receiver, because it sends keyboard key presses to the system, not IR events.
