NEVERMIND.  sorry.  this does actually appear to be real ir noise.  When I cover the thing fully with my hand it stops.  Sorry for the bad report.

 

 

 

Trying to set up a new flirc.  Plugged into my Mac.  Attempts to record keys all fail as the key gets "pressed" for me immediately.  When I turn on "enable ir recording" I see s steady stream of events coming in.

The device is not sitting on a table with me, there's no logical way it's actually getting all this ir.  I put it under a box, and it still sees the same events.

I see this now after i chose "load embedded firmware" - it says 'firmware successfully upgraded."  problem still happening, non stop ir events.
