JackTorrance Posted February 13, 2024 Report Posted February 13, 2024 (edited) Hi all! Just received my Skip 1s. I used the IR learning to program my Vogel's MotionMount TV mount (it's a motorized mount controlled by remote). The commands successfully went onto the Skip 1s but they don't work very well. For example sometimes the forward button fails, and I have to press other buttons like the sideways movement button or something and then the forward button works again. Motorized mounts can be fussy with IR receivers, and the Skip 1s may not match the signal strength or spread of the original remote. Edited July 31 by Annaata20 Quote

Interesting experience, Jack! IR learning can be finicky. The inconsistency suggests signal interference or weak output. Have you tried repositioning the Skip 1s for a clearer line of sight? Maybe even experiment with different IR codes if Vogel's provides alternatives. Quote
