anrefsah Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Hi I am considering buying a Flirc for my media center but wonder if it will work with my remote. Thought to use the remote controller from my Onkyo TX-NR809 surround receiver. I have checked the list of supported remote controls, and my remote RC-810M is not mentioned, but the RC-710M are listed. Do you think it will work? I do not know the difference between the RC-810M and RC-710M, other than the layout is different. Quote
Chris! Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Hi anrefsah, I've tried Googling it but with little results. Have you got a Manuel? If it is an I/r remote it should work, though as this is a small company it is hard to test every remote. If one of the companies remotes work, I reckon it will. For example we found that MCE remotes by Microsoft don't work, then Xbox remotes didn't work either. Pleasant regards Chris! Quote
anrefsah Posted April 19, 2012 Author Report Posted April 19, 2012 Thanks for the reply. I see that several other remotes from Onkyo should work, so I give it at shot and order one flirc right now :D The remote should be a standard i/r remote as far as I have understand. Quote
Chris! Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 please do post back so other users can benefit from your information of whether it works or not kind regards, Chris! 1 Quote
hangover Posted April 20, 2012 Report Posted April 20, 2012 Hi, I have a Onkyo RC-764M remote, which can emulate many different remotes. Your RC-810M looks exactly the same, but has more input selector buttons. Looks to me it should work fine. Regards, Erik Quote
anrefsah Posted May 9, 2012 Author Report Posted May 9, 2012 I did receive my Flirc some days ago, and was able to test it yesterday. Working great, but I havn't had time to set it up the way I want yet. But what I have tested, is working perfectly :) Quote
