Learning IR Signals

I received my Skip 1S and it appears to be a good replacement for my aging Logitech Harmony as I only used a couple of activities anyway. The only thing stopping me from making the switch are two devices that I can't power:

- Sony X900F TV

- MediaLight LED Backlight

I've tried to decode the signals for both with Flirc using irtools.exe, however none of the codes appear to work. I know there is a plan to support learning inputs in the future, but is there anything I can do in the meantime to manually add unsupported devices? I appreciate the help.
