Not sure why your team forgot bluetooth voice search and voice control?  Using any online streaming app or even kodi one can speak into the microphone on the remote and find the show, movie or function in seconds vs typing in everything required with an IR remote.

Yes you made a IR remote that is a simpler harmony remote 

Please enter the 20th century and include bluetooth as well as a microphone then you will have market share
