Hi,

I don't know how this will sound but here goes: so got a mini PC accessible in two locations via a USB HDMI KVM that essentially enables me to remote into the machine like as one would using Anydesk or Teamviewer only that this is on a hardware basis. So, in one location I access the PC directly and in another via the said device complete with a monior, keyboard and mouse. I believe you already are familiar with this.

What I now want to do is to be able to access the flirc in the second location using my remote since one needs to be within range of the flirc device. Is this possible? How would I go about it if so? Hope all this makes sense.

Then here in the support forum a really bad explanation from the admin on how to press any buttons while flying blind, then switch somewhere to advanced and then blindly press buttons again...

And in the meantime another 4 years have passed!!!

what's that all about?
Please make an option in the gui where you can program normal macros. Or how to edit the personal flirc cfg with commands...
 

I feel your frustrations. The macros does work on the GUI, tried it after going through a bunch of (old) instructions and just figured to try it from the GUI. Actually one point from the admin "The go to file->advanced. Change to macro recording" made me just try it out from the GUI. I recorded ctrl+esc for the windows hot key. Had been looking for a way to do this since one cannot just record the key from the Full Keyboard Controller. 

There is a guide on the macros process here which to me seems outdated coz even opening up the util file one has to add the .exe extension which is not mentioned in the documentation.

I'd kindly ask the admin to please update his documentation. You do have such a great product here and I'm really enjoying it.

[Inteset v422-2 with Plex HTPC]

I still got the Inteset v422-2 and just recently got the Flirc. I'm intending to use with Plex HTPC. Mapping using Kodi controller and most of the functions work except the Rewind, Fastforward, Next, Previous, Mute and Subtitles. Any advice on how to go about this?

+ is there a way to map the windows start key to the remote?
