  1. Did it again today. Same scenario. Remote sitting on top of smart phone, move remote to do a thing (take a call this time), put the phone back and then put the remote on top. This time it would probably about 30 seconds after the remote was set down before the remote issued the off command and the center LEDs cycled. In case anyone else sees this and wants some info, I'll be on vacation until Sept 16th so I won't respond until then. When I get back I'll try to set up some sort of mildly scientific experiment. Probably something like 1 week of setting the remote on the phone and another week of the remote never being with 3 feet of the phone and then repeating that cycle for a while to see if a pattern develops.
  2. Ha, spoke too soon and now I have a new suspicion. It just turned the TV off again. Here is what happened. Was watching a youtube video via roku. The remote was sitting on top of my phone on a side table. I move the remove, pick up my phone (Pixel 5a for reference), checked a thing on the phone and then lock the screen, set the phone down, and then set the remote on top for easy access. A second or two later the TV starts to shut off so I glance over and see the colored LEDs cycling as if the power button was pressed. No part of my hand was anywhere near the power button. So my suspicion, and this purely conjecture, is that maybe the phone is interfering with the remote. Some RF inducing a small current in the remote maybe. I lack the tools, motivation, and a backup remote to test that theory so...yeah...don't know where to go with that.
  3. Just had a similar incident. Watching a video via Youtube on Roku. I pick up my phone to check a message. I set my phone down and I set the Skip1 on top of it. About two seconds later the Youtube video pauses on my TV. So somewhat recent physical interaction from me but no button presses, short delay, and then seemingly it paused the video. I didn't see if the activity button lit up to indicate that the remote thought a button was pressed. So probably not useful information, but just noting the oddity of the action and that it could be similar to the power off issue. I think this pause issue has happened before but it wasn't as annoying as the power off issue so I didn't pay much attention before. No power off incidents since updating to the 9.9.4 app and reprogramming the remote...yet.
  4. Not sure yet. Just updated to the 9.9.4 app with same 4.12.18 firmware. Deleted the config and then imported my normal config. Will chime back in if it does it again. Thanks for checking in though, otherwise I wouldn't have known that there was an update.
  5. Firmware 4.12.18, last sync'd with 0.9.9.2 app. I have the power button set up to only turn the TV on/off for all three activities. Every once in a while the remote will just turn off the TV out of nowhere. At the time of the power off the remote is usually sitting on a table and nothing has interacted with it. The TV turns off and I glance over to catch the center LEDs cycling to imply that the remote has done something. On top of that being weird, if I push the power button under normal conditions it doesn't trigger the center LEDs to cycle implying that it's not just being triggered by the power button. The last time it did it I reset the remote and imported my config. It did it again today. Any ideas on what is going on? It's kind of frustrating to be in the middle of a movie and then the TV shuts off which both ruins the mood but also crashes Kodi running on an nvidia shield tv resulting in the loss of the current playback location.
