  1. Wow, you were right. I had actually tested the batteries days ago thinking that might be the case but they both tested with about half juice remaining. Your comment made me try new batteries and that seems to have fixed the issue. So thanks! Still kinda lame that this happens with batteries that are still perfectly fine.
  2. I've had a skip for a year or so now and it's been pretty solid. In the past week or so, I'm having a minor issue where the remote seems to go to sleep. The first button press does nothing (the activity 'A' led doesn't even light up). A second button press wakes it up and the remote functions as normal. But ~30 seconds of inactivity and right back to sleep. Was there a new update that caused this?
  3. I've finally worked out all the kinks with my Skip 1s. The app takes a learning curve if you're coming from harmony and a bit cumbersome in some places, but I've got it dialed in for my needs. I only use it to control my Nvidia Shield with an AVR and then to turn on the Xbox so my setup is relatively simple. Honestly I like the remote and system more than harmony now that I have it figured out. I know yall are still rolling out pre orders for this Skip so it may be a bit ridiculous for me to ask, but are there plans for a backlit version in the near future? And maybe it being fully rechargeable without the need for batteries? I use the Skip predominately in a dark room when I'm watching tv so it can be a bit hard to see the buttons with only the light from the tv. Gotta hold the remote at some odd angles to catch the light glare just right haha. That is the only thing that would truly make the Skip perfect!
  4. So I figured out what was causing the pauses after pressing buttons quickly. You can't have a button mapped to 2 different commands or it will cause the 1 second pause. For instance, if you map the info button to display the info on your AVR and the info on your TV. The button press will first display the info on the AVR, then pause for a couple seconds (color wheel will be on) then the info on the TV will display. Then 2 more seconds of color wheel before you are able to press another button. I solved this by keeping each button mapped to only one action. Now I can click buttons and they respond immediately. Hope this helps.
  5. Not sure if this is the same issue as described above, but what I'm experiencing is the remote will have a pause when trying to press buttons quickly back to back. For instance when I want to exit fubo and go back to the Shield home screen I push the back button and then the home button quickly. The back button works then the led color wheel will come on and spin for a couple seconds but the second command does not register. I have to wait 2 seconds for the led's to go away and then press the home button again. Is it normal to wait 3 seconds in between commands?
  6. So I tried new batteries and nada. So I threw the batteries that came with the remote back in and it magically worked! Got everything just how I wanted with the button setup and it was going great until just now. Back to being dead as a doornail. Took the batteries back out and put them back in and it worked for 30 seconds. Now it's back to being dead. Must be some kind of battery connection issue. What can we do?
  7. Yeah lights right up when I plug it in. I'll try some new batteries tomorrow.
  8. I just gone done doing Activity A which is just using the ShieldTV. I must be doing something wrong because after mapping all the buttons and syncing the remote, unplugging it from the computer and pushing any button gives no response whatsoever. No lights on the remote, power button does nothing and no changes on the tv. Even pressing the 4 color button in the middle of the remote does nothing. When I first put the batteries in that button at least made the remote light up. I was able to get it to communicate when it was connected and when I was mapping the buttons and pressing 'test actions'. I did update to the firmware when it prompted me to.
  9. I ordered in mid December and have not heard anything on delivery. Really frustrated.
  10. I ordered a skip back in December and it still has not shipped. I've tried contacting via phone and email at least 10 times with no response. Getting quite frustrated as well.
