Jason: thank you so much for a quick follow up... I'm embarrassed a bit because I bought a new set of batteries recently. I tried two new ones. It's back working! Thank you, much appreciated.

Very basic question: been using it part time over the last year. Grabbed it the other day and got no activity lights on it. Changed the batteries with no improvement. It appears to be dead. Any ideas to help prove this might be a functional device once again. TIA...
