Okay, it was totally my fault. I used bad batteries in both remotes. Now everything works. Please delete this thread.

Yes, other remotes work with the V2 and the V1

I tried two Xbox remotes that were bought/produced on different dates. So, it is not just this particular xbox remote. And yes, they are IR remotes. I used one of them a couple of years ago with the Flirc 1 on a different firmware.

Okay, so I bought a FLIRC V2 but it still does not work with this remote. No key is recorded.

It does not make a difference if I use a M1 Macbook or a Windows machine to run FLIRC.

Why ???

Hey,

 

I used a Xbox one media Remote for a long time with my Flirc Gen 1.

Now I updated the firmware to 3.11 and the Mac app to 3.25.3

And now it does not recognize the Remote anymore. I can not learn any key.

Other Remotes are still recognized, so the Flirc is not broken. I bought a replacement Xbox Remote but it also does not work.

 

Can you please share an older version of the Firmware, so I can downgrade ?
