bhamail Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Hi, I'm new to Flirc, so assume I've missed something obvious. I programmed the Flirc on my Mac for XBMC (using the pre made template in the flirc software). When I plug the Flirc into my RaspberryPi (running OpenElec with a dev build of Gotham), I notice the response time to key presses is very slow (close to a second sometimes), and there is a long delay before another key press will be recognized. Is this expected? The same remote (rc6) works quickly with the ir receiver that came with the remote. Sorry to tack on another question, but: I also noticed the Flirc pre made template for XBMC does not include some of the buttons I used on the remote, so some of the buttons do not work, or do not perform the same function. Wondering if there is an updated template for Gotham? Thanks! Quote
MrNice Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 I use Openelec as well v3.95.1 and Gotham test, I didn't noticed the latency but I have software bugs. Look at MrNice posts in Raspberry Pi support. To record the other keys, you could use the full keyboard in the GUI and choose in this page the control you want: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Keyboard_controls I is working fine for me. 1 Quote
Chris! Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 When I plug the Flirc into my RaspberryPi Is it sluggish on your mac too. (this way we can isolate the cause better) Quote
bhamail Posted March 15, 2014 Author Report Posted March 15, 2014 Thanks for the responses. I'm in the midst of a server rebuild, so please don't interpret my slow reply as loss of interest... Quote
Chris! Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 please don't interpret my slow reply as loss of interest Wouldn't dream of it :) I usually take no reply to mean the issue has been solved, but we can continue Quote
CHBMB Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 I use my Flirc with the Openelec Gotham betas with no issues. I use a Logitech Harmony though with a setup I've detailed in the forums somewhere. Quote
