crescentd
I just bought a flirc. I've read some of the doc. My initial understanding was that I'd be able to control all pc functions and apps. Now after reading a bit, it seems that it will only control one media center app. Does it control only one app or multiple? Can it emulate a windows mouse and/or do windows functions? Nobuddy0816
Flirc basically acts as a keyboard. So it depends on your mapping, how it acts with programs and system. E.g. if you map it with standard wmc commands, you will be able to control all programs/ apps, using these commands like WMC, DVD/BD-Software, VLC etc. The same goes to any other keyboard related command and its function within the used system and its programs. crescentd
Thank you. So it'll work in multiple apps where the same keystroke combination does the same function. But it cannot save the same key per app with a different combination. Do I have this right?
Nobuddy0816
Sorry for abcence, was busy. You're right. The behaviour depends only on the app. So as long as the app reacts on common keyboard commands, it will also respond to flirc, as long as the command is related to the corresponding keystroke. crescentd
Does someone already have a config they'd be willing to share that works with multiple apps?
