partimers
Hello Jason, my 2 cents: if possible, please make a black Flirc. The transparent one is cool, but it will standout like a lamp in people's setup with majorly black equipment like AV Receivers, Blu-Ray players, and most of HTPC cases. Congrats on the great idea and execution of the product, wishing Flirc all success. Regards partimers
Chris!
I think FLIRC is see through to increase sensitivity to signals (I seem to recall Jason saying that somewhere)
jason
Pseudo is exactly right. I did experiment with black plastic, which is transparent for the infrared spectrum. I was extremely disappointed in the quality. It's a plastic that looks extremely cheap and I was not happy with the effect on the sensitivity. Maybe one day I will look at this again. ep7
i think partimers is referring to the overall case being made of black plastic. The front window (where the two leds things are) could remain clear.
