Button press not detected during pair operation

Hi,

I received my flic dongle usb yesterday.

I installed flirc application on my computer (win 7 64bits).

The dongle usb is detected as connected but when i want to pair button with my remote, it doesn't detect any button press on my remote.

My remote is a philips SRP5004/86 (I tried with mode TV : sony, samsung, panasonic).

I tried other remotes (my LG TV remote, Samsung dvd player remote, ...), other USB port, other computer (win 7 64bits) but there is the same issue.

Is there a bug ?

Is there any solutions ?

Hi cerafin, welcome to the forums,

Sorry you're having issues - of late many issues have been reported with windows 64 bit computers programming Flirc (but once programmed seems fine).

We could check flirc is working by trying to program it on another computer (not win7 64bit) - is this possible.

Also could you post the spec of the windows 7 64 bit computer (e.g. motherboard etc)

Press different buttons then.   :P

Kidding, sort of.  Really though, it worked fine when I programmed mine on Win 7 64-bit.  But that was with an older firmware.

Try grabbing an old firmware and programming under that, then upgrade it. Your settings should be kept, justin case (hehe) go ahead and save a copy to the desktop or something before you upgrade.

Can the firmware even be downgraded?  Don't see why it couldn't.

Is the other computer of the same spec?

Have you tried the other computer?

(We're always after more info to narrow down the cause of these issues)

The other computer is a laptop (MSI GX-700) and i have the same issue with it.

Processor : Intel core 2 duo T7500

Ram : 2Go ddr2

Graphic card : NVIDIA Geforce 8600M GT

Where can i find an older firmware to test Budwyzer's suggestion ?

Maybe my dongle usb is defective ?
