Aech Posted April 22 Report Posted April 22 I want to record play/pause with ctrl alt p. I am on Big Linux. I am using the command line because when using the GUI the buttons light up when pressed but do not record. I look at flirc_util setting and the key gets bound to ctrl alt f. delete by index does not work :(. I had to unplug the usb because key interference made it so I couldn't type. Like the ctrl alt f is being pressed without me pressing the button. record_api 5 9 is what I put in. help! I have used used flirc_util device_log --ir -p and yes I get a lot of interference. I turned off my keyboard and mouse. I don't know what else to turn off. Plus it does seem like recording is happening. It is just wrong. Help please. Also I then adjusted play/pause to ctrl alt f and it worked with a few second delay. Why? flirc_util $ settings 3.27.15+ FW Version: v4.10.7 SKU: Flirc 2.0 [marlin] Branch: release Config: release Hash: 0x71266B92 Settings: sleep detection: always enabled noise canceler: always enabled inter-key delay: N/A for current firmware variant: Flirc builtin profiles: NA Memory Info: NA product sku: Flirc 2.0 [marlin] Recorded Keys: Index hash IK ID key ----- -------- --- -- ------------ 0 CF843A24 130 01 F8 1 B14401A9 120 01 F8 2 CF0965E2 130 01 left_ctrl+left_altF 3 7C8BFE2A 050 01 left_ctrl+left_altF Quote

Aech Posted April 22 Author Report Posted April 22 When I connect to the controller and hit play for example, the play button flashes green on the GUI. When I hit erase and then the button on my remote (flirc skip 1s) the GUI message doesn't change. It hangs on press button to erase. Quote

When I hit erase and then the button on my remote (flirc skip 1s) the GUI message doesn't change. It hangs on press button to erase. I have built-in Flirc profiles. Any of the devices by the manufacturer "FLIRC" that you added to skip are pre-programmed and enabled in the Flirc USB. You don't need to do any pairing with those. It is already done. If you want to disable any of them, open up the Flirc USB's pairing app, then go to File -> Advanced, and disable them. You are still able to record these keys, but that's on purpose. You are effectively "overwriting" my entry in the built-in profile. If you record and then delete that same entry, you are enabling the built-in entry again. The only way to get it to not respond is by hitting that disable button. Hope that clears it up. Quote
