Migration from Flirc USB Gen1 to Flirc USB Gen2 (the currently sold HW)

The Gen2 Flirc USB device has the 'long key press' support which is a nice benefit.
Can I use the Gen1 setup data (a *.fcfg file) also at Gen2? I.e. can I skip the IR-code learning steps?

1. unplug Gen1
2. plugin Gen2
3. load the *.fcfg file of Gen1
4. test the HW change

test result: A minority of all commands is working, i.e. migration try failed.

Yes, Gen1 *.fcfg files work on Gen2, so you can skip relearning. Just note long key press features may need minor reconfiguration.

@jason Is my test result (Gen1 configuration is not compatible to Gen2) wrong?

Nah, you can't. The Gen1 .fcfg file won't work with Gen2. You'll have to go through the IR-code learning steps again.
