marvinmz Posted December 17, 2025 Report Posted December 17, 2025 (edited) Hi, so I got the flirc usb, programmed it on windows OS to the nvidia shield gen2 controller and paired a couple of buttons with my lg remote tv (after pressing the button the gui confirmed that the instruction was saved), but upon inserting it into the shield nothing happens when I click any of the buttons on the LG remote. I made sure that USB debugging is of and HD storage as well. Any other ideas what could be the culprit? Edited December 17, 2025 by marvinmz Quote
marvinmz Posted December 18, 2025 Author Report Posted December 18, 2025 (edited) I did some more experiments - looks like it works fine with another IR remote, but I have no idea why the flirc would register signals from the LG remote during programming but would not recognize them after it's plugged into the shield... It was a really interesting and important experience. I had a different experience with my Nvidia Shield and Flirc – after a firmware update, everything worked smoothly. If you're still having trouble, you can try this. Edited January 13 by bastegranola Quote

Also, try re-pairing the remote directly to the Flirc while it's plugged into the Shield. Quote
raisism Posted February 19 Report Posted February 19 @dinosaur game said that: Quick checks: Use Controllers → NVIDIA Shield in the Flirc app (not Keyboard). Test in the GUI — does it detect button presses? Plug the Flirc directly into the NVIDIA Shield TV and reboot it. If you’re using an LG Magic Remote, try Power or Volume buttons first (they usually send IR). Quote
