Flirc Fire TV Edition on PC. Not detected. Using adapter.

Hello!

Is this not supposed to work? I purchased a new FLIRC, Fire TV Edition from someone who told me it was supposed to work on PC as well.
Since I have no micro USB on my HTPC, I purchased an adapter: "Micro USB to USB C". But when I plug it in, nothing happens. When I open the flirc software, nothing happens either. It just says "Please connect flirc" and "Disconnected".

What can I do?

Yes! On windows 11, fresh install. 

I bought this adapter:
"Supports charging and data transfer.
Adapter for connecting a device that has a USB-C port with a Micro-USB cable.
Supports charging up to 3 A and data transfer up to 480 Mb/s.
USB-C male to Micro-USB female."

Not sure if the adapter is the issue or something else. But the Flirc was unused when I bought it

I believe that's it. Do you have a USB -> Micro adapter you can try? Should go on the other side. Can you post a link to that adapter?

I don't have one but I will purchase and try. Do you have an example of an adapter that should work?

I don't see why this wouldn't work, but I'm going to grab some and test it out. Don't worry, if something is wrong with the device you received, I'll replace it.

Same issue was this ever resolved?
Experiencing the exact same thing.  I have tried every port on my PC, multiple adapter all that work with other devices.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the software twice. Rebooted, nothing showing in Device Manager and it doesn't even look like it tries to get detected like every other usb device you plug into a PC.  No unknown devices and not showing under HID or USB devices in Device Manager.
