Nathancs Posted October 5, 2025 Report Posted October 5, 2025 Hi there, I have a skip 1s remote and 2 flirc USBs. My goal is to use Kodi on my pc as activity 1, and activity 3 as nvidia shield. I have mapped tv inputs to tv, and everything works OTHER THAN when I am using Kodi, my skip 1s commands are also triggering my nvidia shield. As in the dongle in the nvidia shield is executing my Kodi activity 1 commands. What am I doing wrong? I've tried like 12 different device profiles are my skip 1s and then painfully re taught the nvidia commands each time hoping one of these random. Devices will send a different ir command that the nvidia won't pick up. I can't figure it out. Quote

I started off with activity C being flirc-Nvidia. ChatGPT suggested I try other devices thinking the IR would be different. So I've tried a good 8 now. I'm pretty sure my issue is that the nvidia shield flirc dongle will read the up, down, left, right, enter inputs from my activity A (Kodi on a pc) no matter how I program it's dongle. In short: The Kodi IR commands associated with activity A are being read as valid inputs on both flirc dongles at the same time. I don't want the nvidia shield dongle to accept the Kodi commands. jason Posted October 6, 2025 Report Posted October 6, 2025 Ah, okay, I think I know what's going on. Flirc has these profiles built in. You can disable them. So on the shield, make sure none of the others are enabled. You can find that in file->advanced when plugged in. Let me know if that does it. Quote
