Cyber Posted July 17, 2025 Report Posted July 17, 2025 Hi, I am used to my Logitech Harmony. And I was so glad I could find Flirc FireTV which works just with plugging in (I even had not to program it, as I am missing a USB -> MicroUSB adapter right now I was glad that I had not to program it. ;-) ). What a great product, thank you! I configured Flirc as "firetv" on my Harmony One, assigned some keys, works. I have also installed Kodi on the FireTV stick, I can navigate and control, but I am missing the Keypad which I know from Kodi to work e.g. for skipping to a specific Time in an movie. But the original fireTV remote has no Keypad, also, the firetv profile does not. Is there any chance to have a kind of mixed profile, so firetv and the keypad from Kodi/xbmc ? Thanks for suggestions! Alois You can manually record these. It's not clear if it will be recognized by the firetv in all apps, as it's app dependent. Just add an arbitrary remote to your harmony. Make sure it's a part of the same activity you use to control your firetv. Open up the flirc pairing app, and record the number keys on a keyboard as those number keys on the remote. Just make sure the arbitrary remote you add doesn't exist in your living room. Choose a samsung or panasonic TV. Let me know how that goes. Quote

Cyber Posted July 28, 2025 Author Report Posted July 28, 2025 in harmony software I added the commands for 1-10 and learned on harmony the numbers. they work on kodi-on-firetv without doing anything on flirc-side. now searching the next and previous button, skipping 10seconds only is not practicable, skipping chapters is missing ... Cyber Posted July 28, 2025 Author Report Posted July 28, 2025 for kodi installed on the firetv my kodi-instance on a RPI had: KEY_PREVIOUS 0xD827 KEY_NEXT 0x58A7 KEY_REWIND 0xA857 KEY_FASTFORWARD 0x28D7 while in keymappings then: <skipplus>SkipNext</skipplus> <skipminus>SkipPrevious</skipminus> <forward>FastForward</forward> <reverse>Rewind</reverse> currently it looks like the left-arrow and the right-arrow are mapped to the forward and reverse on replaying a video on kodi. I have already learned two buttons on harmony, next and prev, but I think they do not match any internal routine between flirc / firetv to send the "next" and "prev" Quote
jason Posted July 28, 2025 Report Posted July 28, 2025 On the Flirc pairing app, try the media center keys Quote
Cyber Posted July 28, 2025 Author Report Posted July 28, 2025 hm seems that I did learn the keys in flirc, but forgot (wine and beer emoji are not allowed but should go in here) on trying to learn next and prev, flirc tells me it is duplicate, but does not tell me with which key. how can I find? the fcfg attached contains the information, does it? my_flirc_config.fcfg Quote

Space Waves Alois What you can do is create a custom Flirc profile using the Flirc software on a computer. Once you get your USB-to-MicroUSB adapter, you can connect Flirc and manually program additional keys (like numbers or media controls) using the full keyboard layout. Then, on your Harmony, set up a custom device or activity using standard keyboard commands (or even XBMC/Kodi commands) and map those to the remote buttons. Quote
