Unit test failed with brand new flirc v2 [marlin] - 4.10.16 FW?

Hey, I'm seeing a failed unit test with a brand new unit I bought off amazon. Tried on both windows and linux machines, same issue.

What is this Marlin FW? Is there some new 4.10.16 firmware released? Firmware upgrades or downgrades also fail as the wrong version.

Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!

I had another dongle that worked on 4.6.something and passed the unit test, and as soon as it upgraded to 4.10.5 it gives me the same unit_test failure again. I've tried downgrading to a number of firmwares now and they all give me the same unit_test failure. Something looks broken with the bootloader or something maybe?

Not sure about the other flirc devices, but it really seems like the USB device is abandoned.  Why's it even still on sale?

Yep. Very disappointing . I got one response from support to try a different firmware, when it didn't work I didn't get any more responses. Returned the 2nd one I bought from Amazon, but the first device I had, that I upgraded fw on, no longer works. I'd have to recommend no one else purchase this product.
