Hello

I am trying to Learn the Remote for the EE TV Pro Set Top Box.

When I try and Learn a Button, I get an Error stating that 'Internet is needed for Remote Control Learning', 'Were unable to Reach our Servers'.

The PC I am using is Connected to the Internet and I am able to Access Websites with no Issues.

Firmware:  4.13.11.0

Software:  RC 0.9.992

Any suggestions?

The Issue with not being able to Reach the Servers is now sorted, Thanks for that, however.....

I am able to Learn the First Button of the Remote, however, after I am asked to Press and Hold the Second Button, nothing happens.

I have tried going back and Designing the Remote again but the same Issue occurs.

Any suggestions?

Enable the admin panel and then go to the last tab. Press and hold the remote button and send the text in both windows.

I Setup the Remote from Scratch and Imported my Configuration File.

I then tried to Learn a Remote, the First Two Buttons Learned fine, however, when Pressing the Third Button, nothing happens.

I have attached the Logs as requested.

I did take a look at the capture and it looks like noise. I'm unable to see any signal.

When you do it, can you make sure the remotes are 'face to face'. I made a mistake with this IR receiver and thought I would caputer the carrier frequency, but it suffers a lot of accuracy. They need to be really close together.

Also, you can enable the admin panel in accessibilities, click the wrench. go to the learning tab, have the remote plugged in, and press and hold a button for me. Just one button. Copy and paste the top window here.

Can you also tell me what remote you are using? Model/pic, would be helpful. Sometimes I just need to buy it if I can't find a code set online.

Here is what that window would look like. There is a 'copy' button next to the word raw.

Well, this is weird.

When I follow your Instructions, only One Button produces any Data, pressing other Buttons lights up the Source Remote but no Data is shown.

The Device Model is RTIW387.

The Remote is for the EE TV Pro Box and I have attached an Image of it to this Message.

It is available on the Amazon UK Website  at EE TV Pro Remote

Looks like the device is only bluetooth, which is why it's not sending anything to learn. I'll check some databases to see if I can find some IR codes. Are you sure the actual device supports IR codes?

I have a Harmony Elite Remote which works perfectly with this Device, do you have access to the Harmony Database?

When Added through the Skip 1s Software as a BT Vision Set Top Box it works to an extent, the main Issue being that just a Couple of Buttons are not recognised, i.e. Back and Guide, everything else works fine.

Just a Quick Update.

This Issue has now been resolved.

It turns out that when First used the Remote Pairs to the Box via Bluetooth, however, before that it is in IR Mode.

So, I switched Off the Box and Reset the Remote, after which I was able to Learn All of the Buttons.

It all seems to be working fine now, hopefully that will continue.
