ovalseven Posted November 28 Report Posted November 28 FLIRC app says "Button Recorded" for all buttons, but most buttons don't work after plugging the FLIRC into my Nvidia Sheild. What could be the issue? Quote
jason Posted November 28 Report Posted November 28 most or all? If all, make sure ADB debugging is off. Quote

ovalseven Posted November 28 Author Report Posted November 28 And it all stopped working today. This remote is behaving as if it has multiple/rolling IR signals for each button as FLIRC is allowing me to record a single button multiple times. Are there actually remotes that do this? Quote

Make sure you aren't by a window when you record, the receiver is sensitive. Also make sure you don't hold the remote too close to the flirc usb receiver when you record, point up at the ceiling. If you are still having trouble, you can go to File->Advanced. Enable IR Debugging. Then press and hold one of the buttons on your remote, send that log here, I can take a look. Quote
ovalseven Posted November 30 Author Report Posted November 30 "Successfully" recorded the OK and arrow buttons at 15'. They don't work after plugging into the Nvidia Shield. I enabled IR debugging and clicked OK. Log is attached. This remote is cheap and easy to come by. I'd be happy send it to you if it would help. my_flirc_log.txt Quote
ovalseven Posted November 30 Author Report Posted November 30 This one is the log after clicking and holding for about 5 seconds. my_flirc_log-2.txt Quote
jason Posted December 3 Report Posted December 3 Yes, what remote is this? I'm seeing completely invalid stuff come in, make sure you are not too close, you should be 2 feet away, point it at the ceiling, make sure you have good batteries. Quote
ovalseven Posted December 5 Author Report Posted December 5 (edited) The remote is a Spectrum SR-002. The remote has two modes to work with two types of cable boxes. Mode 1 works perfectly with FLIRC, but won't long-press (I need it to). Mode 2 will long-press, but has the issues described above. This happens with fresh batteries and no matter what distance you record. Edited December 5 by ovalseven Quote
