Play / Pause Toggle ?

How is the Play / Pause button supposed to work?

I have set top box that has discrete IR commands for play and pause.  They work perfectly if I assign them to normal buttons (e.g. the 1 and 2 buttons).  But when I assign them to their respective functions on the Play / Pause button it does nothing at all.  It neither plays nor pauses.  I tried swapping them around and still nothing.

So how is the Play / Pause button meant to work?

Good question, currently (unless things have changed), you basically need to assign another key to make this happen.  It's been stated they have an idea where, you can long press a button to run a second command or I think toggling between codes e.g first press - sends on, next press sends off... but this could get weird if you are playing and power off..  personally not sure about this, the press hold would work better and should be easier to code.

I only have one device with this issue, but agree would nice to get an idea if/when this will get added.
