Recorded remote not showing up in UI?

Featured Replies

Hi!

Have tested a bit with the latest version of the app for linux (SkipApp-0.9.984.8921-Beta).

Can record a remote but the remote does not shows up in the list of selectable remotes when configuring the Skip remote.

The remote is a Lindy Model 38249 remote.

As there are already a few Lindy remotes in the database, this is how it looks like in the UI when I try to search for the added Lindy remote.

I suspect that the first "Lindy" in the pulldown menu could be the added remote - not sure, while the second entry probably is the entry for the remotes already in the database.

If I select the first entry, it looks like this.

That is no remotes selectable. As for the second "Lindy" entry I am unable to select that entry. Only the first one is selectable.

But "selectable" is not quite the correct term here as I really can't select anything. In stead I have to type in the name as shown in the pulldown menu and press enter. The pulldown menu is kind of "out of focus/not clickable".

Lastly here is how it looks like when I remove the recorded remote.

Again I can't really select any of the entries in the "model" pulldown menu. I have to type in the name of the entry which I want.

Basically struggling with two issues:

1. Recorded remote can't be selected/does not seems to be present in the UI

2. Entries in the pulldown menus are not selectable (appears out of focus/not clickable).

Maybe this will work better in upcoming releases?

Btw., the recorded remote do indeed shows up in the "admin" tool, in the "Brands" tab and can be exported.

Will upload the exported file to the "Supported Devices/Databases" forum. Maybe it could be added to the database? The brand and name is as follows:

Brand: Lindy
Model: 4x1 HDMI (Model 38249) (Switcher)

Okay, I will get this diagnosed and fixed shortly, how bout this version:

Current issue with this one is that you can't go back into the recorded device once you exit the wizard, only in the same session, but that bug will be worked out soon.

Hi! Thanks for you continued work to get this right!

Tried the wizard version (linux) but unfortunately nothing gets drawn when you enter the "Add Activity" step.

(I think someone else reported something similar with one of the RC versions just a few days back. Not sure.)
