Remote can be programmed, but not working

Featured Replies

I am using Linux Mint 21.1.

I tried "skip-app_0.9.982+8843_amd64.AppImage" and "skip-app_0.9.984+8908_amd64.AppImage"

I am able to create an activity (watch TV with a Sony TV and a Videotron set top box). When I click "Test Device" during setup, I am able to turn on and off the devices I am adding. But when I try to use the buttons on the remote itself, nothing is working... No lights on the remote, no buttons are doing any action... I tried unplugging the remote without success. Even worse, sometimes, when I reconnect the remote, skip-app does not recognize my previous setup and starts from scratch as if the remote was connected for the very first time.

I also went to the Device section of the app and in Tools I tried "Reset Remote Setting" or "Delete Remote", reconfigure everything, but it did not help.

Remote Model SKIP.1S.RELEASE.A06
Firmware Version 4.12.18-0-g69245a9
Last sync 10/14/2024 17:29:40

I also tried to install SkipApp on a fresh copy of Windows 10 but I kept getting error messages, could not install...

Any idea how I could solve my issues ?

Would prefer to use the Linux version...
