Hi,

I bought a Manhattan T4-R for my mother (who lives about 400 miles away) and sent it up a few months ago. I thought since then that having an all-in-one remote could be useful and as I had a Skip 1s which worked well thought this could work well for her too.

I assume that the T3-R remote is very similar to the T4-R so loaded that profile but unfortunately the CH+ and CH- buttons are missing. Unfortunately I have already sent her the STB so don't have access to the remote to learn the codes so wondered if anyone had an updated T3/T4-R profile with these channels? Otherwise I guess I'll just wait until xmas when I'm up and program the remote then.

Or would it be best to necro this thread and ask there?

Cheers,

Dave

I wish I had a remote, I could put this together quickly for you. Does she have the remote? Is it possible you might be able to walk her through taking the set top box remote and using my software to capture those codes for us?

Hey, thanks, yes she has the remote ... It's probably possible assuming your software is windows based then I can Quick Assist to her machine? I have a FLIRC USB dongle or do you know of a cheaper dongle I could order from Amazon that would work? There are some sellers on Ali Express supposidly selling a compatible remote for about £10 so any more than that and may as well just get the knock-off remote!

I’m so sorry for the delay. There are a couple things we can try….

Since I have learning built in, we can walk her through trying to learn the missing buttons. If that works, you can save and send me the config. and I can create a new config for that device.

If learning goes well enough, she could learn all the buttons. But we can see how that goes.

If for some reason that doesn’t work, we could enable the admin panel. Three dots, go to preferences, Accessibility, enable the admin panel. Click on the wrench, go to the the learning tab, and just hit the buttons on the remote we want to learn, you can copy and paste the results to me. Let me know, I can always try to join a remote session.

Only just saw this, but I can check and scan the programme up/down from my T3 if it helps.  Surprised it wasn't in the file I did the last time, no idea how it got missed it.

I'll try and remember how and do this over the weekend if it helps and upload what I get.  Let me know if there is any other key that is missing.

Using Flirc app, and its IR debugging.  Below are the resulting codes.  I hope once processed these work with th T4 (Happy to test it with the T3).

@jason This might be why I got confused.  But looks like the sorting of the forum by "most recent" seems to be ignoring the year.  Hence I picked up this post a year later,  checking other posts, it's a mix of 2023, 2024 and no date (2025?) dated posts.  So maybe a bug in Sort by code as seems to be present across the forum.

Sharing in case you were not aware.

Okay thank you. Let me see if I can fix it.

Hello. I've broke my remote. Want to enable web remote control. I have this DIY project with raspberry pi pico, so im using your codes for emulating the remote control. Your codes are working well. Also I've tried to bruteforce the codes and i've got codes for volume_up, volume_mute_unmute, menu/home, move_left.

@Jilas671 could you pls provide the codes at least for buttons i need to enable web remote control? or maybe all buttons so i could do remote myself :)

The only other file I have, is the conversion of the first file by Jason.  Uploaded in case that is of use as well.

Looking back, those two files actually form this file.  The missing codes I posted above, I don't have any updated/converted versions.

I hope between the 3 files and the codes posted you get what you need.

@Jilas671 Appreciate your help. Did not expect you to reply so fast.

My bad, I forgot to mention I have T4-R version.

Codes from your json file are new to me and they did not work.

Codes from txt files i've had before. I've exported them from one of remote control android apps. They are not working as well.

I'm using NEC Extended (32 bit) format instead of raw format to store compare and use codes but the logic is the same.

These codes i have and they work:
"6": 0x68040334,(as example: 0x680403FC from txt, 0x680416E9 from json)
"_UNKNOWN_1": 0x68040574,
"VOLUME_UP": 0x68040754,
"VOLUME_MUTE_UNMUTE": 0x68041b52,
"MOVE_LEFT": 0x680415b2,
"PROGRAMME_DOWN": 0x68046B56, (yours, from post from August 31, 2025)
"PROGRAMME_UP": 0x6804659A (yours, from post from August 31, 2025)
and there is HOME button around x680413ba

The 0x6804 part is constant so there is 65536 variants. Already bruteforced 25%.

@teoformartel no worries I had recently just found those files after tidying up my nas, hence the quick reply.

The assumption earlier was the the T3 and T4 may use similar codes hence the op original questions.

So my raw files codes should be convertible.  Quick Google I found this GitHub post.

https://github.com/crankyoldgit/IRremoteESP8266/discussions/1845

Not tried it, but if this works, I'd compare one known code and hopefully you'll get the result you need.

That said I did a bit of searching and also found this.

https://manhattan-tv.com/support/manhattan-t4r/your-t4r-remote/pair-your-t4r-and-remote-to-prevent-interference-with-other-manhattan-devices

So the plus is the codes are good if using the universal channel 0 or channel 1.. on the Manhattan but if that got changed then I guess that's when the 'fun' starts.

I wish you luck, if anything from the t3 is useful happy to look further.
