An activity I’ve been using since setting up the Skip1s has recently stopped controlling the Shield TV part of the activity; the sound bar and TV are still controllable and other activities work, but not controlling Shield. I’ve updated the Skip App to the latest nightly and reloaded the activities but it doesn’t change. Additionally, earlier today, it worked intermittently but then stopped again with content playing (ie the Shield is still playing when this is happening). 

Any ideas?

hmm, are you using a flirc in the shield? Or is it using CEC?

Oh yea, I’m using a Flirc usb on the Shield. Also, removing the batteries doesn’t seem to do anything - which In guess makes sense since all other devices are still controllable.

it's something on the shield then. Do you have ADB debugging on? If so, turn it off.

I’ll check - I’ve hard reset twice. Should I re-set up the Flirc USB?

You shouldn't have to. Don't hard reset. You tried unplugging flirc, and plugging it back in?

Try plugging flirc into the computer, just make sure it's detected, and it should respond to skip button presses in the computer. Turn on File->advanced logging and just check to make sure it's spitting out information when you press a button on your remote.

Debugging is off - and I just noticed when I select another activity, that doesnt use Shield, it will control the Shield. But the Shield activity will not…

Take the flirc out, does it still control the shield?

Ha, yes, it does. Also, when switching to a non-Sheild activity not only does it control the Sheild but it never changes inputs on the TV like it's supposed to. It stays on the Sheild's input and controls it.

Yea, it's detecting input.

The reason it's 'working' when on the wrong profile is because it's using CEC for that protocol. So your TV remote can actually control shield when active.

It's unclear why it's ignoring input. 

Using the app, try going to the shield2 profile, and re-recording the keys from the correct activity. (this is unecessary, but will be a good datapoint)
