I am running a libreelec/flirc and using an OLED55C3PUA and selected the the above tv model in the skip app. I want to switch between my flirc and a roku box on a different HDMI source. I used to be able to do that with my old - now dead vizio - but no HDMI options show up in the available LG menu actions. Only up, down, left, right, and enter cursor. So how to select correct hdmi when switching devices?

I was thinking I needed to upgrade in order to do learning - to create some needed keys for the LG tv but when I went to check my fw version this is what I see at the bottom of the skip app.

 

here's my firmware version - does this make sense?

 

the reason I ask is that the latest beta I can find a reference to in the forum is 4.12.12. So how come I have this later version showing in my skip app.

The app version is: Skip App 0.9.969.7809 [Learning]

 

At this point I can see the record button in the add device wizard.

I followed the record instructions - dragged in home, custom button for hdmi port, volume, OK and arrows, back. Then everything was going OK until the OK button - for some reason the LG OLED55C3PUA remote doesn't send a proper signal. So I just hit the 1 button to continue. I finished assigning the remaining buttons. Of course when I tested the new device the OK button didn't work.

Next I did everything as above and hit the power button instead of OK. Just see what would happen.

To proceed with using the skip I could export the lg tv device and find the real OK code. I did find this:

I will try to locate an answer. In the mean time I figured out how to run both the Roku and the Libreelec from my magic remote using CEC commands. The lg remote is OK - feels better than my old logitech or whatever I had after that but... not as good as the skip. Plus the back key is in the wrong place.

Once I have an answer I can export my the buttons I was able to record. edit in the OK code and reload. Then I will have two working remotes.

 

If anybody knows the answer to the above translation question please respond.

finished testing and this is where I am.

I solved my problem by abandoning the skip and using the lg remote - I can manage the Libreelec with cec protocol and then I migrated all my roku apps to LG apps except for the free roku movies of course and that's that.

I did enjoy using the the skip 1s but I would say that the LG remote is only a few small points of being just as good.
