nicktook
I am on ubuntu 12.04 64 bit. after adding the line to the apt source list and running apt-get update I see these errors: Ign http://apt.flirc.tv binary/ Release Err http://apt.flirc.tv binary/ Packages 404 Not Found W: Failed to fetch http://apt.flirc.tv/arch/i386/binary/Packages 404 Not Found E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead. The apt-get install flirc fails with E: Unable to locate package flirc I tried downloading the manual install files. If I run Flirc on my account it runs but will not connect to the device. If I run as root I get: undefined symbol: libusb_get_port_number flirc_util gives me the same error message. jason
The apt-source is not currently live, you have to use the direct download on the site. I'll try and fix it soon. For now, just download the linux package and follow the instructions on the site. Also, make sure you have the latest libusb package. That error is because that's an old library. Looks like the device is stuck in the bootloader. If you have a windows machine, pop it in, and you can use it on linux with no additional software required.
