Sony STR Receivers no luck

Device is STR - K1000p

Select Device, Try All STR Sony Models, Try all Sony Models with Receiver in the title. "Test Device"  and nothing.

I cannot wait until the learn function comes online - But in the meantime, This remote is no good for my set up if I cannot control my Audio.

Did you actually test the remote or used the 'Test device' button. Because the latter also did nothing for my NAD receiver but one of model settings did actually work.

I have tried actually testing and have found some functions are working. 

None of the power on/off/toggle functions seem to work. I have tried a few of the STR options but not all yet. . I read in another thread that someone with a STR variant was able to get power to work through the Mute command. No luck with the options I have tried so far.

Hi, I had the same problem with my Sony STR-DN1080. Depending what model you have, I got mine working with adding a device and using the MISC group at the end, then as I typed STR the option came up for STRDN receivers, and now I have access to a ton, if not all, the buttons.

Just remember to use the scroll to actually see all the models, as it's not at all clear you can do this. Maybe there's an entry you've not seen before that will make it work for you.
