  1. Hello, not sure if this is better of in the Bug section, so please move if this is true. I recently bought a Flirc (along with a Dell Thin client) to replace my RaspberryPi4 (with soldered IR receiver) to replace my Kodi setup. In principle it is working but I see these double key press issues. I tried reducing the delay in my harmony setup and used the Flirc profil as well but the problem persists. I attached the log from the Flirc app and you can clearly see the :e:25 almost every time. Kodi is almost impossible to use this way. This happens on my Mac if I’m very close but also on my TV setup being much more far away from the Flirc dongle. And there is a second issue with Flirc. Using my keyboard to control Kodi during setup of the ubuntu server I had no problems controlling Kodi. When I started using Flirc and tried starting a video I noticed that around every second time the controls worked only until then. When the video is playing, I’m not able to stop/pause the video or get back into the menu. And this is true for the regular keyboard as well. When I restart Kodi (systemctl) and without any further action the controls work fine again in Kodi. Not sure if this is a Flirc issue but I’m not seeing this with the regular USB keyboard. Any ideas? Really appreciate your help. my_flirc_config.fcfg my_flirc_log.txt
  2. I have generic iptv box called ZUMM TV for programming from back home. The remote that accompanies this is a dual bluetooth(BT) and IR combination. By default the remote connects to the box via blue tooth and from the research I have done there isn't any way to turn this off. Is there a way for me to connect the box to Flirc (via BT) and then configure the Flirc to work via logitech harmony remote. Aside from navigation and OK button I will need to configure home and power as well. If yes, then how to I setup Flirc to connect to the box and then what model(Profile) should be used in logitech harmony. Currently logitech doesn't support teaching via bluetooth remote and I want to avoid purchasing their $500 remote for this box. Please advise
  3. I loaded up the Flirc software for the first time in a while and it said there was an update available. I thought it couldn't hurt to update it, but it turns out it can. Ever since I updated it, my Logitech Harmony 650 remote doesn't work at all with it. It says it's connected on Flirc. When I open up the program and press buttons on my remote, the keys that are pressed aren't showing that they're being pressed but I can tell that it's being read by Flirc because it will say things like "recorded successful," "that button already exists," and "button erased" whenever I press a button on my Logitech. Even after clearing the configuration and mapping out new buttons, the remote can't control anything and they aren't showing in the program. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Flirc, updated both the GUI and Firmware (v3.25 GUI and 3.11 firmware), tried to manually install driver and used the ZADIG program (installation failed), deleted and readded Flirc on the MyHarmony App and I've restarted my computer multiple times. I'm using Windows 10 and I bought Flirc off Amazon several years ago so it's probably Gen 1.
  4. Hi, to resolve my problems with FLIRC and recording of my IR-codes from the Toshiba PC 'Qosmio' IR I tried every option from the 'Advanced' menu item but it keeps in "not working" state. E.g. the error message 'button already exists' occurs very often and even if not the recorded commands does not work at all or does not work as expected. Therefore I cannot use my Windows 7 media center HTPC together with FLIRC and my existing setup! I have read a lot of problem reports in this forum and my conclusion is: "Use any remote with your media center" is marketing bullshit. Sorry about my clear words but I'm very disappointed about this WRONG advertising. Why? Because also my IR keyboard "LiteOn SK-7100" shows the same negative result and for around 40 EUR (Amazon.de, approx. twice the price as in the US) FLIRC is a bad experience for me. One positive aspect I recognized: The "Flirc Kodi" device in the Logitech Harmony database works out of the box with my LINUX based Kodi HTPC. (This was only a cross-check if the FLIRC hardware is in general working.) For (e.g.) this use case you may get happy with FLIRC ... Michael P.S. I wrote this to inform other people which may have equal problems and not to get advices / help ...
  5. Hi,I would like to wake up my HTPC when it is suspended with Flirc (1st gen with the transparent casing) using my Logitech Harmony Companion.I am using a win7 pc with the latest version of Flirc GUI (ver 2.6.4) and the motherboard that am using is a ASRock FM2A85X-ITX.I try every possible option i can find on the internet but nothing worked. First of all i enabled 'PS/2 Keyboard power On', 'USB Keyboard/Remote Power On', USB Mouse Poer On' in my BIOS. So basically i have power on my USB ports and by pressing any key on my Logitech K400 Keyboard i can wake up my HTPC when it is suspended. But still i can't wake it up using my Remote. I ran the cmd 'powercfg -devicequery wake_armed' in win cmd i see a list of all the devices that can power on my PC but no Flirc i even try to include it but with no luck. I also try to check the option 'Allow this device to wake the computer' under Power Management in Device Manager for my USB ports but i can't the option appears to be ghost. In Flirc GUI i use the option 'Wake/suspend' under Controllers>Media Keys.Plz help me i really would to be able to wake up my HTPC using Logitech Harmony Activity.
