Well, I agree... It was clear that most of users would want the remote to work as a Harmony (or similar ones). I thought that and it is obvious that it is true because of the whole bunch of posts in the forum with questions about it. I don't know why the remote have been designed to work the way it works... I don't find any advantage. It is way worse. It annoys experienced users and it doesn't make easier for beginers to use the remote. But it was designed that way and the creators continues to defend that, providing annoying workarounds that make the remote more difficult to use and it converts the experience in a way more unpleasant one.
As it is programmable and even the creators have confirmed that they could make the remote work as desired, I hope they rethink about it and change the firmware (or provide two versions of the firmware for the user to select and use the most convenient). The creators perhaps think that there is only "a little fraction" of users asking for this behavior. But I don't think so. First of all, some user won't write in (or even know the existence of) this forum. For other users, this will be their first intelligent remote controller, so they won't miss the Harmony-like behavior (but I'm pretty sure they would prefer this Harmony-like mode if they would test both).
Well... now, we only can sit and wait... :-(
