  1. Is there any news about the "learning feature" (that I may have missed)? Or can AV switches meanwhile be selected as devices in the Skip-Software (I still did not find them)?
  2. A few months ago, my Harmony remote suddenly stopped controlling my Sonos Arc. After searching in the internet, there seams to be a change at SONOS and not all remotes are supported anymore. The suggestion was to teach the TV remote to control Mute and Volume up/down. This can be configured in the ARC settings in the SONOS APP and runs quite good with the remote of my Philips TV. In the Harmony APP I had to change my activities in that way, that the TV controls the Volume. In the same way I have configured my Skip1S Activities after experiencing, that the Skip didn't control my SONOS ARC (like Harmony didn't): Volume is controlled by the TV. What's missing is the button to adjust the speech volume. But don't forget to configure/teach the TV remote in the ARC settings in the SONOS APP firs (ARC settings -> TV-Setup -> Setup remote) Maybe this also works with other Soundbars like SONOS Beam Gen 1. and 2.
  3. My first experiences and insights with Skip1S: - It takes half an hour to understand how the software works, but after playing around with it for a while, it is easy to handle - I experienced that sometimes the gear in the upper right corner of an activity disappears and I had to restart the APP to see it again - I am working with a MAC so I didn't have the Windows Errors, discussed here :-) - The syncing of the software config to the remote is super fast and much easier than with Logitech Harmony - The database of devices (50.000) is very, very small compared to Logitech Harmony (225.000) - in my case I did not find my Philips TV and had to use one of a few "generic" configs - The generic config names "group 1", "group 2" and so on are not self-explanatory. That means "trial and error" - Much more annoying is that I did not find the central/heart of my installation: the AV-Switch, where everything is connected. That means I cannot use my Skip 1S at the moment because... - ... there is no chance to teach the Skip 1S the few commands of the AV-Switches remote to change the HDMI ports of it. So I am desperately awaiting the teaching/learning function - CEC is nor really an alternative for me, because the different implementation of CEC by the manufacturers is sometimes not interoperable. In my case the AppleTV sometimes takes over, connects to the TV and stops me from watching TV or Blu-ray - Another annoying point is that switching between activities means: every device of activity A is switched off and then every device for activity B (or C) is switched on when you change activity. Practically that means: at least the TV is switched off and on for every activity change .... grrrrrrrr - and the last point - but in that case, the Skip1S is not to blame - Infrared must see the devices. So it's a good idea to spent a few bucks and buy an IR repeater like https://www.amazon.de/dp/B01F91NHYA?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Regards Martin
  4. Hi, any news about an integration of AV switches, in my case "FeinTech VAX04101A HDMI eARC Pass Switch 4x1". Or is it possible to teach Skip1 the keys of the Feintech remote in the meantime?
  5. Thank you very much for your short video on how to configure the power button ... by mistake/misunderstanding I tried to move my actions on the activity-buttons A,B and C (not on the power button), because I didn't understand that the power button can hold actions that are different/specific für the activity buttons. What does this mean in real live: will you have to press the activity button first and then the power button, to tell the SKIP, which power-on sequence it has to start? Or will just pressing the activity-button A start the power-on-sequence that I have moved to the power-button for activity A?

  7. Thanks for your answers. I don't have a flirc - just playing around with the APP and waiting for the SKIP remote. I tried to configure everything in advance that is running with my harmony today, where the switch is in their database and I came to the point, that it isn't in your database. As you might imagine: every device connects to this switch and it is essential for me to manage it with the remote.
  8. My setup (actually not working well with CEC) is: - Watch TV: Philips 65OLED804 TV, SKY SAT Receiver on HDMI 2, SONOS ARC on HDMI 1 eARC - Watch Blu-ray: Philips 65OLED804 TV, Samsung BD-C6900 on HDMI 3, SONOS ARC on HDMI 1 eARC - Watch AppleTV: Philips 65OLED804 TV, Apple TV on HDMI 4, SONOS ARC on HDMI 1 eARC (Alternative Solution: everything connected via a Feintech AV Switch which I did not find in your database as well as my Philips TV and the Samsung BD-C Series) Thanks for your help!
  9. I think relying on CEC is not a good idea, as some devices frequently talk to the tv as for example the AppleTV that sometimes takes over the communication to the tv from my sky receiver while watching sky... You suggested to select the HDMI ports in the POWER UP/POWER DOWN menu as far as I understood (?) - that seams to mean that there has to be a button on the (virtual) Skip that can be (virtually) moved to the POWER ON List of activities. But I don't have any button of the TV on my (virtual) SKIP because the SKY receiver does the navigation and provides the media and my Sonos ARC is there for audio ... so there is no key to change HDMI input ports of the television that could be moved to the POWER ON process-list. ... or maybe I didn't understand how it works ...
  10. Hi, when creating an activity "watch TV" there is no chance to create an AV switching device (I tried "AV" and "Misc"). In my case it is a "FeinTech VAX04101A HDMI eARC Pass Switch 4x1".
  11. Hi, how can I find out to which "code group" a device belongs. In my case a Philips TV 65OLED804/12. The App displays code groups 1, 2, 3, 4 ... whatever that means. Philips TV xxOLED804 cannot be chosen in the device listing :-(
