  1. I figured out what I was doing wrong and I have recorded the key to power on/off, however it doesn't seem to be working. The flirc has accepted the config in the cmd prompt, but it won't power on or off?
  2. And when I try without command it says lib/libcmds/cmds.c run_cmd(275): could not find command flirc_util.exe
  3. I'm having difficulty in command prompt. I've opened it and trying to run "C:\program files (x86)\flirc\flirc_util.exe record power" and receive error "is not recognized as internal or external command, operable program or batch file"
  4. Thanks. Congrats on the baby, I understand you're preoccupied! I'll try do that. So, just run CMD and type the directory followed by flirc_util.exe? Cheers
  5. I've tried so many times to contact Flirc support. I've had no luck. It's as if this is a dead / abandoned project. No replies to emails, seemingly, no replies on forums. If someone, anyone, can help I'd really appreciate it. I managed to get my Flirc SE working after first having a unit that shipped with a damaged USB connector. I can run the regular Flirc program and assign keys, but the Flirc_util command utility will not open, so I'm not able to assign a power on/off command. Can anyone help? When I try to run flirc_util.exe a black box opens for a fraction of a second, then immediately closes. How can I get this working? I've exhausted all options and it's really frustrating when I can't get in touch with support.
  6. Since I've had no response, here or the support email, I've been forced to conclude that the device is faulty and I've returned it.
  7. Hi there, I recently purchased a FLIRC SE edition. Unfortunately I'm having a lot of problems and can't get Windows 10 to recognise the device. The flirc SE shows a blue light and I can power on the system with the physical power switch but windows 10 does not recognise it and the Flirc settings application shows DISCONNECTED. The device shows in device manager as UNKNOWN USB DEVICE (Device Descriptor Request Failed) I have tried different USB headers on the motherboard, I have tried different wiring and every other thing I can think of but it still won't recognise. I followed the steps outlined on the Flirc website to manually install the device driver, but that won't work. My system build is listed below Asus z270g mATX motherboard Windows 10 i5 7600k 16gb ram Corsair cs 550w psu I would really appreciate any support you can offer.
  8. Hi everyone I'm currently building a high end HTPC / gaming pc. Please find the complete spec list below. As part of its media center functionality, I'd like to be able to control it via a regular IR remote. Flirc seems to be perfect in this regard, but I would also like to be able to power up the system via the remote and I believe the Streacom edition Flirc is the only one to provide this. As seen here: https://flirc.tv/flirc-streacom-edition I'm using a Bitfenix Prodigy M-ATX. Will I be able to use the Streacom Flirc-SE IR receiver with this case? I understand the module is designed for Streacom builds, but I've seen that people have installed them in other cases. Is it difficult to do so? I can't find much information on the installation process or its compatibility. I wouldn't want to have to send it back if I discover it's not compatible! Any information, advice or suggestions would be really appreciated.
